One killed, five injured in naxal attack

An Assistant Commandant of CRPF was today killed and five personnel injured when naxals attacked a police team in Bijapur district, about 450 kms from here.

A group of naxalities attacked a police patrolling team in the forests of Karchuli village of the district in which Assistant Commandant Rajpal Singh and five others sustained serious injuries, Deputy Director General (Naxals) Pawan Dev said.

Singh succumbed to injuries on his way to hospital, Dev said.
