Narsingdi, June 9 (bdnews24.com)—A Narsingdi court on Tuesday sentenced five people to death for killing Jatiya Party leader Mozammel Haque in Raipur Upazila20 years ago.
Three other accused were sentenced to jail with hard labour
Mozammel Haque was the president of Raypur Upazila unit of Jatiya Party.
Additional district and sessions judge AKM Abul Kashem handed down death sentence for Hossain Ali, Abdul Khalek, Shuruj Mia, Abdul Baset and Majibur Rahman.
Zahir, Jaynal and Juhu were given life term.
Six other accused died during the trial.
