RAIPUR: In a bid to curb cyber crime in the state, Chhattisgarh government has made it mandatory for people to show a photo identity card before availing services at a cyber cafe, official sources said on Friday.
The state government has enforced the Chhattisgarh Cyber Cafe law 2009 to prevent cyber crime. Norms have been laid down for both the cafe owners as well as users. If flouted, action would be taken against the culprit, they said.
As per the law, people would be allowed to use the cyber services unless they display an identity card. If a person refuses to show an identity card he would not be allowed to use the computer, sources said. - PTI
