Orient Ceramics and Industries Ltd (OCIL), one of the largest manufacturers of tiles for walls, floors and facades and pioneers in floor and wall solutions, has opened a 'Europa Boutique' store in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The 2,100-sq.ft franchise store, which will enable customers to touch, feel and experience the company's entire product range, is Orient Ceramics' first Europa Boutique in the region and fourth in the country. The other three are located in Rudrapur, Guwahati and Coimbatore.
Delhi-based Prakash Industries is planning to buy Nova Iron & Steel.
Nova Iron and Steel has a 1.5 lakh tonne sponge iron unit in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh. The company does not own any iron ore mines and buys the raw material from the market, mainly from Orissa.
The location of the Nova plant is ideal for Prakash as Prakash has two sponge-iron units each in Champa (Chhattisgarh) and Raipur (Chhattisgarh),while, the unit of Nova Iron is located in Bilaspur which is in the middle of Champa and Raipur.

Real estate developer Ambuja Realty Ltd would invest around Rs 500 crore in developing three shopping malls under the 'City Centre' brand.
"We will set up three City Centres in Raipur, Haldia and Patna," chairman of Ambuja Realty Harsh Neotia said today.
He said that the Siliguri City Centre, to be operational from December, was being built at a cost of Rs 280 crore.
The other malls would be be set up at an approximate cost of Rs 500 crore, he said.
Madame, a renowned women wear brand, is all geared up to prove its presence among the customer base.

RAIPUR India, June 23 (Reuters) - India's Jindal Power is likely to face a delay at its 2,400-megawatts thermal power project in central India after the environment ministry revoked the terms of reference (TOR) for the project.
The ministry of environment and forests has also asked the state government to initiate action against Jindal Power for starting construction work at the project without obtaining environmental clearance, a official of the central Indian state of Chattisgarh, where the project is situated, said.
South Korean company Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co Ltd is planning to set up a power equipment manufacturing facility in India.
The Union Power Minister, Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde, told newspersons here that Doosan's Chairman, Mr Y. H. Park, will visit India on June 28 to hold talks in this regard with the Government. Mr Shinde did not give details about the investment for the project but such projects depending on their scale, involve an investment between Rs 2,000 crore and Rs 4,000 crore.
Raipur, June 3 (IANS) GMR Energy, a unit of GMR Infrastructure, has completed land acquisition for its Rs.8,000-crore coal-fired power project in Chhattisgarh, a company spokesperson said Thursday.
“The company has completed land acquisition and is waiting for the coal-linkage to build two units of 685 MW each with supercritical technology that will cost Rs.8,000 crore,” the spokesperson told IANS.
She said the project needed 850 acres for the main plant. The government had provided 422 acres and the company had acquired 428 acres.
RAIPUR, India, April 5 (Reuters) - Nearly half the sponge iron units in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh have suspended production in the past 15 days as the supply of iron ore from neighbouring Orissa state has been disrupted since early March, a trade body head said on Monday.
Top construction companies in the country are in the race to bag Rs 9,000-crore deal for constructing All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital here.
Sources in state's health department said that five construction companies had qualified for the project in the technical and financial bid. After the approval from the ministry of health, the contract would be awarded in the first week of April, sources said.
